Electromagnetic pulse.

This is a topic I've read a little about but still feel very lacking in understanding. EMPs (Electro Magnetic Pulse) seem to be intense power surges from explosions which could devastate our electronic systems. Everything from computers, to car engines, to radios, and possibly even household wiring could be affected.
